Krystal: Class of 2011

After the first session was rained out this past Saturday, we were able to take advantage of the beautiful weather on Mother's Day and do Krystal's senior pictures. Although, I was starting to feel a bit under the weather, we pushed through and got them done, and had a BLAST at the same time! (I hope you didn't get sick Krystal!!)

Moses' 2nd Birthday

I can't believe this little guy is 2 already!! I remember heading up to the hospital to see him right after he was born. It's amazing how quick time flies. Here are a few of the shots we got at the park today with Moses for his 2nd Birthday pictures.

This first picture just makes me laugh. While doing the shoot this morning, the first few times I went to take Moses' picture, he would stop, look at my very curiously, tilt his head to the side and ask "Pic-tur? Pic-tur?" It was the funniest, and cutest, thing ever!!

Taylor: Class of 2011

Have you ever met someone that just has a natural beauty about them? That's Taylor. I love her pictures that glow with her smile. I love her more serious pictures - her eyes just grab my attention.

Mike and I met Taylor at church just about 6 years ago and were THRILLED when her Mom asked if we could do her senior pictures.

Chris' Senior Pictures

It's hard to believe that Chris is a senior this year!! When Mike and I first met Chris, he was in Middle School, so it's been fun watching him grow over the last 6 years.

We had a BLAST with Chris when we did his photo shoot last weekend. Dodging the rain drops was tricky, but he was a trooper and made it work!

Miss Blue Eyes

This is my best friends daughter and I love her like she was one of my own.

We were able to spend some time at the park last week and Leah L.O.V.E.D. the swings! It took some convincing to get her to move beyond the swings, but once she did, she realized how much fun the playground was!

Leah is going to be a big sister this summer, so we're anxiously awaiting the arrival of her little brother!

Wow do I feel old! When Mike and I were still in Fort Wayne, I was the Youth Group Director at the church we attended, and this young lady was just entering Middle School. Now she's a Senior in High School and graduating in May!

Jordan's family moved to Indianapolis about 2 years after Mike and I did, so I was thrilled when her Mom asked if I'd be interested in doing her Senior pictures. We had a great time (minus all of the wind!) Here are just a few of the shots we got:

This is my brother's daughter, Addison, and she's getting ready to turn 1. I can't believe she's going to be 1 already. It seems like just yesterday Mike and I drove to Fort Wayne to meet her in the hospital.

We had a blast taking her pictures and I couldn't wait to share them with you!

I have now purchased bubbles to be in our photography kit, thanks to this guy!

Jared's mom brought bubbles with us to take his 3 year pictures, and they were a HIT! You'll notice quite a few pictures with bubbles.

Miss Avery: 6 Months

It was good to see Avery and her Mommy and Daddy when we did her 6 month pictures. I'm amazed at how much she's grown just in the last 3 months!

This little lady is just precious, and I'm so glad we were able to share these moments with her family.

Here's the newest addition to our extended family! Mike's cousin and his wife welcomed their 2nd child, Colton, back in November (just a few days before Thanksgiving!)

Before we ventured into the snow storm last Sunday, we took some indoor photos. After we played in the snow, we stopped in at a local chocolate shop in downtown Indianapolis. You'll see a mixture of photos from 3 different locations below.

Snow Sisters (Pt 1)

This past Sunday, Mike and I ventured downtown with some friends of ours to take their pictures. I had this crazy idea a few months back for them all to wear adorable winter hats. Little did we know, until the day of, the amount of snow Mother Nature would decide to dump on us during our time downtown!

Ideally, if it had been snowing just a wee bit lighter, I would have been a little more happy. I'm pretty sure there's not a single shot where you don't see a streak of snow on someones face.

We did an indoor shoot too, and I'll post those next, but I wanted to get these up tonight.

Here is the preview from our second shoot this past weekend. I used to work with Susie and was very excited when she asked me to take her family pictures. After Mike and I arrived at their house, we knew we were in for some major fun! The 3 (very energetic) kids kept us moving and on our toes! It was great!! I can't wait to go back and play with these 3 again! (And see their amazing Mom too!)

Sweet Charlie - he laughed nearly the entire time we were at their house for the shoot. Mike and he became buddies REAL quick :-)

We had fun running inside and outside, putting on and taking off Santa's hat, looking in the stocking to see if there just happened to be anything in there... :-)

There's nothing better when doing a photo shoot then hearing a lot of laughter. For this session, there was a LOT of laughter! I had so much fun with these guys... I just wish we lived closer!

Hannah was crawling towards me when I captured this precious look on her face! Normally, I would have not liked this shot because of the grass in front of her face, but all of the expression is coming from her sweet little eyes.

I think this guy's gonna have some ladies chasing after him as he gets older! :-)

Have any of you heard of the children and women's clothing line called Matilda Jane? It's a Fort Wayne based clothing company that has THE cutest outfits. I first found out about them about a year and half ago and fell in love... along with a lot of other people... one being my sister-in-law. :) She and I both agreed that her daughters would be PERFECT models for the clothing line. Call us biased but it is what it is. These girls are adorable and beautiful and perfect little models in my opinion.

My Cabbage Patch Baby Doll

My new nick-name for our niece, Addison, is "My Cabbage Patch Baby Doll" because she looks just like a little Cabbage Patch that I had while growing up. I had the opportunity to take her 6 month pictures last weekend (coming from a family of photographers, I was pretty excited that I got to take them!) and we had a great time. (I also enjoyed the snuggle time with her too!)

Remember the Debbie Gibson song "...I get lost... in your eyes..." Well, i think of that song everytime I look at Addison. She has the BIGGEST and bluest eyes. She gets those from her Mommy!

Sweet Em'

For the last 4 years, I've been able to watch Emily grow into the beautiful person that she is, and I can't believe that she's a Senior this year!!! I was so excited for our session - I had been looking forward to it for a long time!!!

We did an early morning shoot in Johnson County. I picked Em up and said "We're just going to drive until I find what I'm looking for..." and sure enough, within 5 minutes of her house, I found my dream field and old rugged barn. Here's to let you know just how early we were up and at 'em for this shoot:

I could tell Em was a bit hesitant at first, but after a few minutes we started to have a blast. Here are just a few of the photos I took.

A Rustic Wedding

After shooting todays wedding, I couldn't wait to start playing with the photos!!! The location was perfect, the weather (although a bit hot for September) was great, the bride and groom were amazing, the bridal party was a TON of fun, their families and friends were awesome, I could go on and on...

Throughout the day, I kept thinking to myself (err... I think I said it out loud a few times too) that I would LOVE to live in the house and on the property that the wedding was held at. It was old, rustic, and had soooo much charm and character. You'll notice that I posted a number of photos with the Bride and the windows. I couldn't get over how awesome the windows were!!!

Congrats Morgan & Jeremy! You had a beautiful wedding!!!

Well, it's hard to believe that a year has passed already, but it has!! I got to spend some time with Kamille, her Mommy and Daddy a few weekends ago to do her 1 year pictures.

These two kiddos learned who "Auntie Beth" was because I was always the crazy lady with a camera in their faces from the moment their were born! Mike and I did a little photo shoot with them Friday evening and had a lot of fun, but MAN was it HOT!!!!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this first photo of Phoebe. No words can describe the simplicity of that photo and the look in her big, gorgeous eyes.

And on to Mr. Joey! This little guy cracks me up. His facial expressions are hilarious to watch sometimes. The picture in the upper right hand corner is one of my favorites. Joey was in the middle of blowing air up on his face to keep himself cool when I snapped the picture. (Did I mention how HOT it was Friday evening????) The bottom right is an example of what happens when it gets too hot during a photo shoot... a not so happy Joey.

Jenny's Baby Bump

There are a handful of people in my life that, although we aren't family by blood, I consider them to be part of my family. That being said, this beautiful soon-to-be-momma is one of them.

Jenny and I grew up together. From the same Kindergarten class through high school, we were together. (We didn't go to the same college but we were still living in the same city.) From sleepovers, to hanging out in her Mom's kitchen, driving ROY (LOOOONG story) over the train tracks on Yohne Rd in Fort Wayne, late night drives to Arby's, early morning drives to the tanning salon, being bridesmaids in each others weddings, and being that shoulder we needed to lean on at some of the hardest times of our lives, we did it ALL together.

Jenny and her husband eventually moved to North Carolina, but we've still managed to keep in touch and see each other. It's been nearly 3 years since we last saw each other until today, and it was like no time had passed. When I walked into her Dad's house this morning, I squealed with excitement to see her and her baby bump! (Can't forget her husband too!)

I was sad we only got to see each other for less than one day, but that gives me a lot to look forward to when little Maddie makes her arrival this July. (You'll see her pictures up here this summer!) Jenny and Jay are going to be AMAZING parents. I love you guys!

Hope

This morning, despite threatening forecasts for downpours and no sunshine, I met up with Hope, her Mom and Aunt to take her Senior Pictures. The entire drive to the shoot I was praying "Please God, don't let it rain!!" I could 100% handle overcast - it's actually better to shoot in - but I wouldn't be happy with rain. The weather ended up cooperating all the way and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results in Hope's pictures. She has such a natural beauty about her - there wasn't a bad shot!

Hope loved to laugh. I LOVED capturing her laughing. You can see the real joy in her eyes

I LOVED the contrast between her snazzy outfit and the grunge look of the location. (I know... I love a lot of things... lol!)

Meet Max. I have a little secret for you about him... He was born 2 days before my niece Addison. I think I'm going to have to arrange for Max and Addison to meet because they're destined to be together! (And Max's big brother is my new BFF Baron... see the post below... LOL!) This little guy was precious when I was taking his pictures. He slept away as I moved him around (and snuck in a few snuggles!) And when he opened those dark brown eyes, I was captivated!

Okay. Here's the deal. I'm in love with a little guy named Baron. He's my new BFF. (If a 17 month old can be that...) When I got to his house today, he was sitting in his high chair finishing his dinner, and I looked at him and he just smiled from ear to ear. I knew we were going to be great friends at that point! After he finished eating, we went outside to play and he just ran and ran in his back yard. That kid LOVES to be outside!

After I finished his pictures, I picked him up to give him a hug, and he cuddled with me. (Yeah, my heart totally melted!) I told his parents that I'd come back ANY DAY for a playdate with him. I can't WAIT!

3 Peas In A Pod

This brother/Sister trio goes together like 3 peas in a pod! I had so much fun playing with them on Sunday. Austin and I got to hang out in his "fort" behind his house, and he showed me what an awesome tree hanger he was. Ella and I had fun playing with umbrellas and pretending we were beauty queens. (Oh, to be a 3 year old again!) And little Miss Avery... her laugh and adorable smile got me every time!!!

Leah's Baptism

Miss Leah and her beautiful baptismal gown. This gown goes back generations from her Mom's side of the family. Leah's Grandpa and Great-Grandpa wore this same gown when they were baptized. What a beautiful family heirloom. (Leah was also quite interested in her two necklaces she received as gifts.)

Another Momma-to-be

Our last shoot last weekend was Chris' senior pictures. He'll be graduating from Perry Meridian in 2010! We had so much fun walking all over downtown to get Chris's pictures (including an impromptu stop at Starbucks to warm up.) Here's a sneak peek of some of the shots we got:

One of our 3 shoots from last weekend was with our very good friends from church and their family. We had so much fun last Saturday - just wish it would have been a bit (ahem... A LOT) warmer outside!!!

Mike and I aren't sure who had more fun taking pictures. He and I or Celeste and Doug? HA! I think Doug and Celeste want a camera for Christmas now :-)

This little sweetheart made her entrance a few weeks early to a very excited Mommy and Daddy! (You may remember her mommy's maternity photos we did not too long ago.) I was so excited for the chance to take her newborn pictures. Mike and I got to see her the day she was born, but didn't get to hold her, so after I took these pics this weekend, I got in some Leah snuggle time. (I can't wait for more!!!)

Mike and I were watching the radar pretty closely this afternoon, and I tell you what: I've never seen a more ominous sky with such a clear weather radar! Even though the sky was less than desirable for pictures (gray gray gray) I still had a BLAST with this family today. As you can tell from the photo below, we had a lot of fun together!

Mike and I have enjoyed watching this little guy grow up over the last year! We haven't seen him (or his Mommy and Daddy) in quite a few months, so we were excited to see them for photos a few weekends back. He's all little boy - running everywhere, exploring everything around him. We had so much fun! (I just can't get over his super blonde hair! (I've been told Mike had hair this blonde when he was this age too!)

Mike and I made our first trip to Arbuckle Acres Park in Brownsburg this weekend to meet this adorable family! We had so much fun and shared a lot of laughs with them. I don't know where to start. This is my best friend from high school and college. My Matron of Honor in Mike and I's wedding. My BFF I guess as you would say these days.... and she's gonna be a Mommy. I told her today that it's like she's a sister and having her first baby. I was so giddy (almost too giddy today.. HA!) Mike and I had a wonderful time meeting Baby Kamille along with her Mommy and Daddy on Saturday. She's their first daughter, and already has Daddy wrapped around her little finger (wink, wink.) It was great to meet them after talking through emails for a few weeks before little Kamille was born.
